Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a trial class?

Yes we offer free trials to all of our classes. We recognise that we offer a lot of similar classes that offer slightly different things, so therefore you are welcome to do a free trial to as many classes as you wish to make sure it's exactly the right fit for you.

When do the classes run?

Classes run for 12 weeks during term time, coinciding with the 3 school terms of the year, usually starting from the first or second week of school term dates. A typical average year runs:

Autumn Term - Early Sept to late Nov/early Dec

Spring Term - Early Jan to late Mar/early Apr

Summer Term - Mid/Late Apr to early/mid Jul

Do you do holiday workshops?

We normally offer a week-long summer school in the summer holidays at the start of August culminating in a small showcase to parents at the end of the week.

How much are your classes and do you accept any vouchers?

Our classes on average work out at £7.00-£7.50 per hour. We offer extremely competitive prices for stage schools in Hertfordshire. We also offer sibling discounts for main schools and some multiple class discounts, as well as scholarships for our Friday Main School. Unfortunately, we don't currently accept childcare vouchers.

How do I sign up?

Feel free to fill out the enrolment form on our website (button to click at the top of this page) or call us on 07790153374 to discuss further. We will ask for your child's name, date of birth and any medical conditions as well as a contact number for emergencies. It's also helpful to know the class of interest, but if you're unsure just let us know your child's age and preference of area (Stevenage or Welwyn branch) and we can advise you from there :)

Do you do straight acting classes?

Our youth theatre is acting-based. These classes do include light movement and some singing for the majority of their shows (as lots of our students love Musical Theatre!)  but no solos are compulsory and many of our students come to our youth theatre because we are more acting-focussed. Our Development Programme for 16-22 year olds is entirely acting-based.

Can my child join a class they are slightly young for?

If your child is turning the minimum age for the class they are trialling that same term that's absolutely fine. The only exception is our Minis classes, (whereby the child has to have turned 3 for the 3-4 class or have to have turned 4 for the 4-6 classes) in order to trial a class with us.
